Vegan & cruelty-free cosmetics brands have gotten the unfortunate reputation of not being long-lasting and dull in color. This is 100% untrue. All of the 100+ makeup products that are listed in the “Vegan & Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Brands” list are high-performing, long-lasting, and come in an array of vibrant and striking colors.
Until recently, it never occurred to me that I should switch to purchasing mostly vegan & cruelty-free cosmetics brands since I’ve been maintaining a vegan diet for about 4 years now.
[DISCLAIMER: I DO consume sustainably sourced honey, both topically & internally, for medicinal purposes. However, I DO NOT consume any soy-based products, GMO’s, seedless fruit, and faux meats such as Beyond Meat or Impossible meat products.]
In 2017, when Fenty Cosmetics first launched, I noticed that their foundation irritated my skin. I assumed it was because my skin needed to “get used to” wearing foundation since I hardly wear any.
A few months ago I decided that I wanted to invest in a quality foundation and bought a few products from MAC Cosmetics. This was the WORST MISTAKE EVER! I spent a little over $100 buying foundation, concealer, powder, etc.
Although the products were a perfect match, I noticed that they caused my skin to tingle. Later on, I developed a mild case of acne on my face. It was then that I decided to switch to wearing mostly vegan & cruelty-free cosmetics brands.
Many women, including myself, fall victim to buying products that are popular or have great marketing campaigns without really researching the ingredients listed in the cosmetics that they’re buying.
Many well-known cosmetics brands contain harmful ingredients and chemicals in their products that can cause a long list of health-related issues, including cancer.
