Wanda Nylon, a Parisian label which launched in 2013, is making bold statements with their innovative rain gear. They offer contemporary high-end style with quality and innovative fabrics. These are not just luxury must haves; they are functional and can be incorporated into your everyday wear. They are re-designing what we think waterproof garments should be. Quite honestly, I’ve never been a fan of water-repellent apparel until I discovered Wanda Nylon. They make rain gear look cool, hip and sexy. When you purchase a Wanda Nylon PVC garment, you are literally wearing material that is like no other material in the world. The design duo, Peter Hornstein and Johanna Senyk, developed their PVC into their own signature material making it not only tarnish free, but machine washable. Their collection features black and white crinkled vinyl taking form in garments such as jackets, crop tops, maxi dresses and clear PVC coats with multicolored trim detailing. They also offer water repellent linen pants along with a few other ready to wear pieces. One of the biggest challenges with leading-edge designers is that they can easily stray away from making a wearable collection. Their current Monsoon collection, along with their Typhoon Fall Winter 2013 and Cyclone Spring Summer 2013 collections have all had an impressive wearable quality. These pieces are not only exceptional for looking good during a rainstorm, but they are great to incorporate into your everyday life. We all know that the month of April brings showers so why not look like you were caught in the rain on purpose with a few of Wanda Nylon ingenious pieces.
