As much as I’ve traveled, I’ve never really put much effort into my vacation beauty products until my last trip to Cartagena.
Putting effort into deciding which travel beauty products are worth taking made my trip so much easier. Over the course of my past travels, both domestically and internationally, I’ve been able to come up with the perfect vacation beauty product edit to make your pampering while traveling 10 times easier!

When choosing what to pack for your vacation beauty essentials, you want to make sure that you have a plethora of multi-use products. These products will make not only packing for your vacation a breeze, but will make getting dolled up an effortless task.
Rummaging through your makeup bag to find different products for a cheek tint or lip color is a thing of the past!
Using the same product for your lips and cheeks, eye-lashes & brows, eye shadow & cheek highlighter, and even a body moisturizer, makeup remover, and hair moisturizer is a necessary convenience that I’ve learned that most women, including myself, need to have.
It’s better when you’re able to have more room in your luggage for outfits & items to bring back with you from your vacation!
Also, within the vacation beauty product list, I’ve listed multiple products that include SPF. While we’re living our best lives jet-setting and partaking in lavish excursions, it’s important that we take care of our skin while doing so.
Products from Black Girl Sunscreen, Ilia, and colloidal silver are perfect products to assist in preventing sun damage.
Before packing for your next trip be sure to get the below items of the 14 vacation beauty products you need for your next vacation.
1. Sunscreen
Black Girl Sunscreen: Sunscreen and Face serum (Vegan & Cruelty-Free)
No matter your skin’s complexion, sunscreen should be number one on your vacation beauty products packing list.
One of my favorite, and only, sunscreen brands that I use is Black Girl Sunscreen. I created a review of their products, which you can view HERE.
You don’t have to worry about ghostly white streaks with this Black-owned sunscreen brand. It is produced with skin-nourishing ingredients such as sunflower oil, avocado, jojoba, cacao, and carrot juice to ensure that your melanin stays protected.
Not only is their brand black-owned, but Black Girl Sunscreen is formulated without parabens or other harmful ingredients.
As opposed to the many other sunscreen brands that are on the market, Black Girl Sunscreen is coral reef safe.
Over 3,000 suncare brands are formulated with the chemical called oxybenzone. This chemical is responsible for bleaching coral reefs as well as changing their DNA of them by producing abnormalities and various other damaging effects.

2. A Multi-use pigment
Ilia: Color Haze, Multi-use pigment (Vegan & Cruelty-Free)
Being able to have ease in using 1 beauty product for multiple uses is the epitome of what a vacation beauty products packing list should be.
Lugging around a heavy makeup bag filled with different products is of the past when it comes to packing for travel. Ilia’s Color Haze multi-use creamy pigment can be used for the lips, eyes, and cheeks.
It leaves a weightless and natural-looking finish to the skin but can be buildable for those wanting intense color.
3. Waterproof Mascara
Smashbox: Full Exposure Waterproof Mascara
There’s no doubt about it that when you travel, especially traveling within a tropical destination, sweating is inescapable!
Being able to not have your eyelashes melt away as you’re sweating is the ultimate form of winning while on vacation. Smashbox’s Full Exposure Waterproof Mascara is infused with olive oil to ensure that the lashes remain soft & clump-free while delivering the maximum amount of volume & length.
This vegan mascara lasts up to 10 hours before you might see the need to reapply. For a multi-use way of using mascara, I like to gently brush my eyebrows with Smashbox’s Full Exposure Waterproof Mascara as opposed to using an eyebrow pencil.
4. Skin Tint with Spf
Ilia: Super Serum Skin Tint with SPF 40
During your vacation wearing multiple layers of foundation is pretty much unnecessary and annoying. Donning a natural flare is always best when you’re in a hot, humid, and tropical climate.
Ilia’s Super Serum Skin Tint is a clean and lightweight coverage that comes in 30 different shades. Ilia’s Super Serum fuses sun care with powerful skincare nourishing ingredients packed inside of a bottle.
It’s formulated without the use of chemicals, silicone, fragrance, and oil, which makes it perfect for those with sensitive skin.
5. Versatile Eyeshadow
Ilia’s: Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tint
If I had to choose only one eye product to bring on my travels, I would add Ilia’s Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tint to my vacation beauty product list.
This product is a creamy, weightless, and highly pigmented eye color that comes in 8 different metallic colors. Although this liquid eyeshadow applies like a cream, it dries like a powder that instantly locks in place.
Since Ilia’s Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tint is extremely pliable in how it’s applied, you can easily use the product as a highlight for the cheeks.
6. Hydration Mask
Farmacy Beauty: Honey Potion, Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask
After a long day of being out in the sun, you’ll want to make sure that you are further nourishing your skin.
Farmacy Beauty’s Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask is the perfect product to add to your vacation beauty product list.

There will NEVER be an excuse for going on vacation with dry, crusty, and chapped lips.
Brazilian Kiss’ Capaucu Lip Butter is crafted with capaucu butter, acai oil, and coconut oil to keep lips feeling soft, smooth, and irresistibly kissable.
9. Natural & Non-Toxic, Environment-Friendly Deodorant
Beauty Counter: The Clean Deo
This year & going forward we are living a sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
The Beauty Counter: The Clean Deo is not only a deodorant that you should add as a part of your vacation beauty products, but it’s something that should be regularly implemented into your daily lifestyle.
The Clean Deo from the Beauty Counter is a long-lasting and fast-working deodorant that quickly neutralizes order while leaving you feeling fresh.
This all-natural deodorant is formulated without aluminum and is crafted with non-GMO cornstarch, baking soda, shea butter, coconut oil, candelilla wax, and beeswax.
10. Shimmer Oil/Butter
Sol de Janeiro: GlowMotions Glow Oils
Nothing says I’m on a vacation better than your body shimmering and glowing with each flicker of the sun! Adding shimmer oil or shimmer butter to your vacation beauty products list is a must.
Sol de Janeiro: GlowMotions Glow Oils is a perfect product to add shine and shimmer to your body without making you look as if you’ve rolled in a pile of glitter.
This shimmering oil is crafted with capaucu butter, acai oil, and coconut oil that will keep your skin looking and feeling hydrated as you parlay out in the sun.
11. Bold Red Lip
Smashbox: Always On Cream To Matte Lipstick In Bawse
Although I’m not a fan of heavy makeup while traveling, I will always be a fan of donning a striking red lip for just about any occasion.
Don’t forget to include Smashbox’s Always On Creame To Matte Lipstick in the color “Bawse” to your vacation beauty product list.
This lipstick gives up to 12 hours of color that applies on like a cream, but finishes as a soft velvet matte lip. Smashbox’s Always On Creame To Matte Lipstick is transfer-resistant and its teardrop shape of the lipstick allows for precise application.
12. Multi-use body wash
African Black Soap
There aren’t too many multi-use body washes that I would feel comfortable using on my body, face, and hair, except for African black soap.
True African black soap is a brown color instead of black and is traditionally made with dried plantain skins, cocoa pod powder, and palm oil. Some authentic recipes include palm leaves, tropical honey, shea tree bark, and shea butter.
African black soap is antibacterial, safe to use for all skin types, is anti-inflammatory, soothes skin irritations, fights acne, reduces hyperpigmentation, and is anti-fungal.
I prefer the solid African black soap as opposed to the liquid, however, the liquid version might be the most travel-friendly option.
13. Multi-use Moisturizer
Shea Butter
Ash and vacationing don’t go together however, it’s easy to have slip-ups when you’re having fun being in the sun, ocean, pool, beach, etc.
Keep your skin moisturized and hydrated by adding raw shea butter to your vacation beauty products list. Not only can you use it to keep your skin moisturized, but shea butter can replace your chapstick and serve as a sealant for your natural hair.
If you’ll be spending long days in the ocean or pool, be sure to slather on shea butter to prevent your skin from drying out.
14. A Powerful Multi-use Skin First Aid Product
Colloidal Silver
Although colloidal silver, wouldn’t be considered a beauty product by mainstream beauty professionals, holistically speaking, colloidal silver is the holy grail of beauty.
Be sure to add colloidal silver to your vacation beauty product list as it has a host of benefits that you can use topically and internally. When coming back from any sun-filled activity be sure to apply colloidal silver to your freshly washed face.
Colloidal silver assists in combating sun damage and helps to soothe inflamed and sunburned skin. Since colloidal silver is packed with anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties, I use it twice a day after I wash my face to ensure that my skin stays vibrant, acne-free, and in its best condition.
It’s great for wound treatment as it speeds up the healing process. Any scraps or cuts that you might get while living your best life vacationing, be sure to make colloidal silver a regular part of your treatment process.
Take a teaspoon per day orally in order to boost your immune system, however, if you’re taking other medications, I recommend that you speak with your doctor first as colloidal silver might interfere with your medication’s effectiveness.
