Let’s get to know who these Brazilian power hitters are by doing some international shopping.
Osklen, a brand that was born from a skiing trip, is an innovative brand that has mastered the art of story telling through strong visuals. Oskar, the designer of the brand, does not like to think of himself as a designer, but rather as a creator of style. He creates garments based on his collected visuals and later turns them into a finished product. This brands gives its consumers tropical fashion with luxury taste. After Andrea Marques spent 15 years of being a creative director for Maria Bonita Extra, in 2007 she decided to resign and start her own brand that would focus on prints, energetic colors and lady-like silhouettes. Shortly after starting her own label, her clothes were so well accepted that she was able to open up her shop a year later. One year after opening her shop she launched her headquarters in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro. She is now in over 40 stores which includes 4 online retailers, Farfetch, Shop2gether, Gallerist, and O Q Vestir. When Lenny Niemeyer’s search for finding a sophisticated bikini failed, she hired a seamstress and began creating the swimsuits she imaged. Every since her first runway debut in 1997 she has been synonymous with high fashion luxury swimwear. Along with producing extravagant swimwear, the brand produces a hefty collection of ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories.
