Men’s Day Wednesday
During New York Fashion Week Designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, of Public School NY, presented their Spring 2014 collection at Milk Studios. Although this elevated street-wear brand has been around for years, they have made a strong comeback this season with the help of the CFDA ‘s Fashion Incubator Program. Their Spring 2014 collection has set their label apart from other street-wear brands by incorporating fabrics such as cotton, nylon, viscose and elastane blends to tract a more sportier and active clientele.
The collection is of a basic black and white palette with the incorporation of olive, air-force blue and grey hues as accents. They featured new takes on street-wear staples such as an array of bomber jackets and crisp button ups. Public School also offered statement wardrobe pieces such as asymmetrical jackets including an extremely cool leather jacket with subtle patchwork designs on the sleeves.
