A couple of months ago the world was given a sneak peek of whats to come from the Kenzo x H&M collaboration releasing in stores and online on November 3rd. This partnership is expected to provide consumers with creative and eye-catching visuals and pieces, as Kenzo has never been a brand that caters to plain-Jane’s. H&M continues its string of high fashion collaborations by adding Kenzo to the list that further solidifies their position as a retail giant. Past partnerships included, but were not limited to, Alexander Wang, Commes des Garcons, Versace, and Isabel Marant.
Unlike some of the prior collaborations, Kenzo took their promotional opportunities a step further by including a plethora of celebrity ambassadors. The first campaigns released feature Iman and Chance the Rapper. As a brand Kenzo embodies luxury, spontaneity, and cultural influence, thus enlisting iconic model and social activist, Iman, and witty wordsmith, Chance the Rapper, were genius moves. The visuals are products of both Jean-Paul Goude and Max Vitali. Check out Suboi’s, Vietnamese songwriter, campaign here, and be on the look out for more content featuring Rosario Dawson, Chloe Sevigny, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Xiuhtezcatl Martinez on October 17th.
