This season there are many options to choose from with footwear such as texture, embellishment, chunky heels or an avant garde shoe. These will definitely be great additions to your fall footwear collection. You will be able to wear these during the day as well as in the evening. When buying shoes with embellishment, although this is fun evening look, be careful when wearing them during the day. You can easily seem over dressed. For a daytime option pick a shoe that has only a brocade or small hints embellishment. Adding texture is one of my favorite things to do during the fall and winter months. I enjoy toying with the contrast of different fabrications such as leather and fur or suede and silk. Wearing a textured shoe will let you take that option even further. Straps will always be in style. They are feminine, classic and assist in making the leg appear longer. Chunky heels are slowly beginning to capture my love. Since being in New York City, I was a little devastated that it wasn’t practical to be in heels since a huge portion of your day is spent traveling by foot. Because there’s more support for the heels and balls of your feet, chunky heels are perfect for walking in. Even though I’ve always been a fan of a colored shoe, it never occurred to me to try blue. A blue shoe can be a nice accent to a simple ensemble. It’s also a color that could be worn to the office and out for a night on the town. An avant garde heel is something I have yet to try, but I’m excited about the possibility of having a shoe with a show-stopping heel. No matter the color of the shoe you will definitely stand out from the crowd with an avant garde shaped heel.
Although it’s not necessary to incorporate every single one of these fall shoe trends into your wardrobe, a few of these will definitely bring your fall wardrobe game to a 10. Having your shoes to look just as good as the rest of your wardrobe can make getting dressed seem like you’re having the time of your life.

Great shoe guide! I never thought I’d get myself a pair of shoes with a chunky heel– I thought they wouldn’t look good on me. Good thing I decided to give it a try because yes it offers more support. I love it. I can walk around so much in my pair.
I’d like to get a pair of electric blue shoes, too! I’m not into heels with color but I’d give blue a try!
