Filling pieces will be releasing their limited edition sneaker inspired by the painting ‘No. 5 1948‘, one of the world’s most expensive paintings, created by Jackson Pollock, an American abstract expressionist. The painting was originally created on fibreboard, a building material made of compressed wood, with liquid synthetic resin paint splashes. Guillaume Philibert, Filling Pieces designer known for his innovation and detailing, gave his own perception to the painting resulting in the ‘Low Top Resin Paint’. A hand painted style of multi color finishings on the total upper part of each pair; the intricate detail combined with rough texture of the leather replicates paint on a rugged canvas.
The shoe will be released in limited numbers on the Filling Pieces website and at select retailers worldwide April 15th.
